One of my hobbies is studding cryptology, so this game was a real treat! It was a pretty short and easy game, but it still required putting thought into the puzzles (now part of a page in my sketchbook is dedicated deciphering this game).
I really liked how you implemented the pigpen cypher- using a custom variant to avoid people being able to sequence break the game. The cat was also adorable.

Deklaration responds:

I think you're the first one who has ever called one of my games "easy"! Well done, and thanks for checking it out!

Not sure when just happened but I am pretty sure I had fun

bandaloo responds:

thanks, that's the best i can hope for :)

Woop-Woop! This is my favorite of the 4 so far. Nice job! The over world sprites are a massive step up and the murder mystery aspect is an interesting one-I do love a good murder mystery, even if this one is super short
Still confused on how to get the endings that aren't "solve" "fail" or "leave"

adriendittrick responds:

for ending 2, you'll just require a bit of luck or game restarts. For ending 5, you might need to get info from the next entry.

I like this better than the second game put I still perfer the first game in terms of mechanics. The visuals are creative but they really hurt my head after a while.

adriendittrick responds:

4th chapter will go back to the mechanics of the first game :)

I really enjoyed the first game but I do not think the jump in genre was very good for it. I went in expecting more cool puzzles with a hint of stealth and I got something that wasn't really aesthetically similar to the first game at all (the story-or what I got through of it-didn't even mention the first game, although I doubt that rings true for the whole thing)
Along with that the game is difficult but not in a very fun way to the point where I couldn't finish the game due to said difficulty-as it felt more unfair than it did difficult.

I enjoyed the general ideas however and will continue to follow this story due to the fact that I am genuinely interested to know where the story will go next. Sorry for typing up such an essay but I just wanted to make it clear that my criticisms of the game are in good faith and nothing else.

adriendittrick responds:

I expect most games to be similar in style to the first one (top-down gameplay with 3/4th side perspective) because it's the easiest for me to make, but I also want to explore a bunch of video game styles and how to exploit them for dumb interactions.
The platforming in this want is MEANT to be really hard/frustrating, but there are also ways to just NOT do it at all if you figure out cool shortcuts :)

Very realistic but also how do I get past the 8th level (I messed up and put 7th this is an edit,I have already killed now I need a key)

plufmot responds:

Grab the guns!

Love the vibe but does this have any jumpscares or flashing images? I adore games like this and like I said I am loving it so far but I am susceptible to those two things which are common in this type of genre of game

Intrapath responds:

Glad you're enjoying it so far! And I wouldn't call it a jumpscare, but the ending cutscene can come as a surprise (it starts automatically after you've viewed a number of files). You won't find any Five Nights at Freddy's-style jump scares in here, though!

Health care workers are truely the most valuable member of society

PatrickZochAlves responds:

Good call!

Sometimes we don't realize how chaotic our lifes would be without them!

Thanks for playing!

Pretty nice! It could benefit from some more distinction between platforms, and I will say that there was probably a better way to open the things than math (maybe make the timer longer and switch it up between some math problems and some other mini logic puzzles?) But even though I finished in 3:58 and only on my second try I think with a few added mechanics and some refining on the graphics side of things it could be a pretty fun game-of course (It was made for a game jam so there were probably corners that had to be cut due to time limit things so the general roughness is understandable)

LoganNG responds:

The math was admittedly a placeholder, as you probably could discern. I appreciate your honest feedback, and I also appreciate you viewing it through the lens of the game jam!

Fun (if barebones) game. Has a lot of potential however the music was pretty annoying after a while and the worldbuilding needs some work. After finishing the game ill also say that some attacks are completely undogeable which is...not a fun. All in all I did have a fun time however.

F1Krazy responds:

I've had a couple of complaints about the music so that's something I'll be looking into for certain. Thanks for the feedback!
