Is that arm in the background the one from the vending machine (I’m pretty sure there was a vending machine arm. Although maybe it was an eye)

I like the general idea you were going for with this however I think that the hatching would look more natural if it had more consistency. The background having shading is understandable but it is kinda all over the place. All in all like I said before-I do think that you have a good vision and for the character,the placement of the hatching isn't bad at all.
